About the committee
The committee traces its roots back to at least the 1960s, when The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences instituted “a section for the logic, methodology and philosophy of science”, with the intent of forming a national committee representing the academy in The International Union of History and Philosophy of Science. (The original Swedish description of this “section” was: en sektion för vetenskapens logik, metodologi och filosofi av en svensk nationalkommitté ansluten till Internationella unionen för vetenskapens historia och filosofi). In 1975 this led to the creation of the committee under its current name The Swedish National Committee for Logic, Methodology and Philosophy of Science (In Swedish: Svenska nationalkommittén för logik, metodologi och filosofi).
A separate post (in Swedish) goes into more detail about the history of committee.
